K-Rok Skirting
K-Rok panels create an attractive base for your manufactured home. Our K-Rok page is made to help you understand the pieces you need, including all options such as corners and vents.
K-Rok Skirting Panels
Made of a durable hard milled plastic, K-Rok skirting panels provide a stone appearance in one of three colors. Each panel is 5 feet wide, and comes in three choices of heights. Choose from 2'6", 3', or 4' to fit below the base of your mobile home, and also K-Rok panels can be cut to size with aluminum-handled snips or a circular saw.
K-Rok Corner Trim PiecesMetal corner trim pieces come in the three matching colors to K-Rok panels, gray, brown, and sand. These simple grain-pattern pieces of metal trim complement your skirting panels on the four corners of your home. Some people, however, prefer to bend the plastic skirting panels around the corner. This can be done with a heat gun (applied very carefully) to the plastic skirting panel, which you then bend into a corner piece. Whichever method you prefer, addressing the corners of your manufactured home is essential to adding skirting all the way around.
K-Rok Metal Bottom Track
Give your K-Rok skirting a channel to sit in with the metal bottom track in one of three colors matching the panels. These 2 inch tracks can be sent in 5' or 10' segments, wide enough to hold up to two panels. Many people choose to install their K-Rok panels without the metal bottom track - the skirting can still look good with the edge of the panel ending on the ground and grass growing in front of the base. As part of the complete package when installing K-Rok skirting, getting metal bottom track gives you the entirely-put-together look.
K-Rok Skirting VentsKeep the underside of your mobile home vented to ensure proper air flow. The number of vents you need is determined by the size of your manufactured home. Take your square footage and divide by 150 to calculate the correct number of vents. For example, a 16'x80' mobile home has 1280 square feet, requiring 9 vents spaced around the home. These vents can be installed by cutting a 17"W x 9"H hole in a K-Rok panel with snips.
K-Rok Access DoorsNeed to get under your house? You want at least one access door, perhaps two or more to provide easy access to crawling under your manufactured home. The door panel measures 32"W x 36"H, with the door itself 28.5"W x 20"H. Put one access door on each side, near opposite ends, and you can get under your house even after your K-Rok skirting is installed all the way around.
K-Rok Top TrimK-Rok skirting panels look so good that frankly you do not need top trim. Unless, of course, you like the appearance better, or you have a height just a few inches more than the 32", 36" or 48" panels will cover. Then choosing from the gray, brown, or sand-colored metal trim with a grain texture stamped into it will complete the look of your skirting package.
